This interactive session
will provide an opportunity for professionals working throughout Fife to explore and develop their current knowledge and
skills using health promotion resources.
Aim
The aim of this session is
to enable individuals to critically examine a range of health promotion
resources and use them confidently and effectively.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course,
participants will have:
- Increased knowledge of the
type of health promotion resources available
- Increased understanding of
how to appraise, select and evaluate resources
- Used one of the resources to
plan a health event
- Raised awareness of the
expertise and support available from the Information and Resources Centre
Who should attend this course?
This course will be of
interest to people planning health promoting activities or those who have
health improvement as part of their remit, e.g. community education workers,
integrated community school workers HIIC tutors/groups, voluntary sector, Fife
Council, CHPs, community nurses, school nurses, Community Learning and youth agencies.
Anyone working with the
population of Fife on Health Improvement issues
can access the Health Promotion Information and Resources Centre. All services and materials provided by
Information & Resources Centre (IRC) are free to our Core Client Groups.
